The 2016 edition of the Mayrent Institute for Yiddish Culture\u2019s World Records symposium brings together librarians, collectors, copyright lawyers, record label owners, folklorists, musicologists, students, and lay people to discuss the contemporary concerns of sound archives. The keynote speaker will be Gene DeAnna, Head of the Recorded Sound Section (Motion Picture, Broadcasting, and Recorded Sound Division) at the Library of Congress and whose National Jukebox website has changed how the public accesses historic recordings.
