On Tues. Nov. 8th 3:30pm-4:30pm in Room 212 of the University Club, the SoundStudies@UW workshop will host its kick-off event with a research presentation by Jerome Camal entitled \u201cTouristic Rhythms: The Club Remix.\u201d An Assistant Professor in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Dr. Camal will be sharing some of his most recent research on \u201csonic tourism\u201d in the Caribbean. An ethnomusicologist and jazz musician, Camal is also part of developing global music studies initiatives on campus.
